This is accomplished during the Clinical Medicine phase,
i.e., Ayurvedic approach to Immunology, etc.
Clinical internship will be accomplished under the teaching and supervision
of a qualified practitioner who is a Faculty Member or designated by the Dean
and must include clinical correlations via case studies.

The Institute custom designs certificate and diploma programs in other natural health care modalities, i.e., Ayurveda, Acupressure, Iridology, etc.
Yamuni Institute’s faculty also conducts seminars in functional medicine, lab analysis, clinical correlations and protocols. The Institute also arranges for Natural Medicine Preceptorships for Health Care Professionals who want to learn natural medicine and bionutrition.
STUDY AND EXAMINATION METHODS
The Assistant Academic Dean works with students to encourage and keep them on track and sourcing of educational materials. Students are also offered “Fast Track” weekend intensives on campus in Louisiana and at other sites under a faculty member or mentor.
Yamuni’s unique program of study involves the student as teacher wherein the student approaches the study from a stand point of what would they want their students to learn from each course. Students develop their own questions and answers and learn concepts rather than details. Students are taught to find references materials.
All courses are in English.
Tuition and Fees (Effective February 2006)
Application Fee: $50.00 USD (nonrefundable)
Includes assessment of academic standing based on prior and assessed credits.
Prior Credits: $175.00 USD per course
Tuition for all Programs: $350.00 USD per course or
$2100.00 USD per semester
Adopted texts, DVD’s, teleseminars, reference materials, not included in the tuition.

Monthly Installments: Accepted
Candidates accepted for enrollment will be notified, via email or letter, of their academic standing, course requirements for completion of degree and total tuition.
SCHOLARSHIPS-Scholarships are awarded by the Governing Board based on evaluation of the candidates’ socioeconomic status, those working in service to humanity and underdeveloped regions.
Request for scholarship must be in writing addressed to the Governing Board with particulars after acceptance for admissions.
WITHDRAWAL/REFUND POLICY
Within thirty (30) days from the date of registration for enrollment all tuition will be refunded except $50.00 USD assessment/application fee. After thirty-one (31) days from the date of registration there will be NO REFUND.
ACADEMIC CREDIT
Each course offered by Yamuni Institute of Healing Arts is assessed in semester units of credit. A semester credit is based on five (5) hours of study for sixteen (16) weeks. Yamuni Institute of Healing Arts conducts three (3) semesters per year. All programs comply with the American academic standards of regionally accredited universities.
TRANSFER, ASSESSED AND PRIOR CREDITS
Yamuni Institute of Healing Arts will accept course work successfully completed at another educational institution that is documented on official transcripts and comparably meets the academic standards of Yamuni Institute of Healing Arts curriculum. The Academic Committee appointed by the Academic Dean may assess credits in special circumstances by documentation, exam or interview.
No more than fifty (50 %) percent of the curriculum in any program will be accepted via transfer, prior, assessed credit.
GRADING SYSTEM
Yamuni Institute of Healing Arts utilizes the percentile marks system except those students scouring ninety-five (95%) percentile receive Honors (H).
In those programs requiring clinical instruction the grading is Pass (P) or Failure (F).
Students must attain a minimum of seventy-five (75%) percentile to pass each course, i.e. 75/100. Students failing to achieve passing grade may undergo remedial studies and/or receive special tutoring by a faculty member or the Dean.
Students scoring ninety-five (95) and above on all courses, graduate
“With Honors”.
